The package needs to be reinstalled, but I can’t find an archive for it

We have all come across this error sometime.

Luckily there is an easy fix, just run this command:

dpkg --remove --force-remove-reinstreq Packagename

Substitute Packagename with the real name, e.g pidgin-ppa
